( Writing Progress--Onward, Driver )So like, yesterday was about one of the worst days I've had since I came home. Just, non-stop bummer looking down at my semi-bleak employment prospects. I mean, I've got ideas of what I can do and what I want to do, and all kinds of contingency plans for what happens if I get this job, or that job... but... People need to call me back, first. Major downer when they don't.
Interestingly, I ended up having a dream that, in a bizarre sort of way, parroted my return from Iraq. Of course, in that I was a Spartan warrior from
Halo returning from war with the Covenant and I had two daughters waiting for me, half African-American but still, biologically, belonging to me and
tappu. So it might mean something, but somehow I doubt it.
Today, on the completely irrelevant, but cheering me up front, I ran across this:
Stargate SG-1: The Alliance, a videogame coming in Fall 2005 from the good folks at
JoWood Games. This is, to put it mildly, quite exciting. Very exciting. This could be done very very well and be one of the best games I'll ever play. I hope I hope I hope I hope I hope I hope...
And that's about it.
