Writing Progress -- Mad Productivity, Comparitively )

Aaaaaand I didn't get to the gym yesterday. Sidetracked before I even left the house. That [livejournal.com profile] tappu had the day off had absolutely, positively everything to do with me not getting to the gym.

But today, today I went. And not at all because [livejournal.com profile] tappu was grumpy and sleepy this morning. (But none of the other dwarves, I swear.) Today I did chest and biceps, and got on the treadmill for twenty minutes to make up for not doing much cardio yesterday. So I've gone five out of the last six intended gym days, which is good. The sort of progress a man can build on.

Concerning work, the wife told me last night that I might have to go back to making pizzas, just to make sure there's some money coming in. To that end, I'm going to be looking into a couple of rent-a-cop jobs today, which hopefully pay more than slinging 'za.

Did you notice anything crazy about today's post, yet?

Every successive paragraph since the cut starts with a successive letter of the alphabet?

Funny, huh? (No, not really.)

New default LJ icon, by popular demand, at left. Green Arrow is one of my comic book faves, to the point that I subscribe to it, so there you have it. Interestingly, the current writer on the book is Judd Winick, known best, perhaps, for being on the third season of The Real World on MTV. He garnered buzz in the comics world for his indie book Pedro and Me, about Pedro Zamora, another cast member from that year who died of AIDS. Perhaps predictably, the GA storyline has just taken an abrupt turn in announcing that one of the new main characters has HIV. Now, I just read a rant/editorial where some dude picked on Judd for giving Mia HIV, but, frankly, Kevin Smith set up her sordid past when he ably kicked off the rebirth of Green Arrow, and Judd just sort of fulfilled the horror of her past.

Anyway, went on about that more than I intended to.

Here, I think, is a picture of me and a couple of old guys from last month. (Love ya, [livejournal.com profile] yopapa.)
