The movie Heat that is. Seen a lot of movies lately, including the aforementioned Four Feathers which, were I a fangirl inclined to squee, would probably have caused much Heath Ledger-induced squee, but as I'm not, it did not, and I got pretty tired of looking at him after a while.

Apparently, Sgt. Bi-Polar was giving the Mortars section leader a bunch of grief over not going out for a two hour run with our somewhat notional section leader. The our somewhat notional section leader is going to do this this afternoon is... mind-boggling, to say the least. It's hot here. Still very hot. We're more in the real, actual desert than we were at Abu Ghraib. Crazy people.

Also, it seems our date for return to Indiana has solidified somewhat. Should be about two weeks from now, and [livejournal.com profile] tappu and I are quite excited. According to my Mom, some sort of shindig is planned, though for right now it's just going to be out to the aunts, uncles, and cousins level. Also, very excited about seeing everyone who can make it.

Should be out of here in a couple of days. Couldn't be too soon.

As far as I have heard, there will be much digging of shins.

Also, I'm pretty sure I'll be making the trip down to greet you when you return to...the midwest. Thus far it sounds as if we might have ourselves a convoy...

most of us didn't know we had access to you (our heroes) over there. We would love to know of other sites and others like you that we could hear the real items, not the garbage that the media wants to share. We are so proud of you and tickled that you are on your way home God Speed and thank you so much for your service! Donna Grogan
