First off, congrats to [livejournal.com profile] raecarson for her own story sale. Rock on.

Nextly, now that the euphoria has worn off, it's time to get back to the grindstone. Brass tacks. Pedal to the metal. Rubber meeting the road. That kind of thing.

Happily, a renewed focus in writing started before what I thought was going to be another in a modest line of rejection notices, so I'm already set up to turn the energy of a sale into actual, you know, words. Which is what I should be doing right now. But I've also been neglecting this a bit, and I'd like to turn that around as well.

This week has also seen three consecutive mornings of my wife and I, despite the warm comforts of our bed, getting up to do actual fitness-like things. We take turns, so the baby doesn't interrupt anything, and so far it's been fairly successful. My energy is certainly up, and I think I'm getting to sleep easier. We'll see if the writing productivity increases as well.

The thought struck me earlier that [livejournal.com profile] tappu and I were definitely going about this the right way: starting our New Year's resolutions a month early so by the time January 1st rolls around, we'll be heading into them full-steam. If successful, I might have to try something like it next year.

Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] stoutfellow has the makings of a nice exchange of favorite webcomics.

Alright, time to go nose-down.
