Well, okay. Extra Sweet.
John Scalzi just bought a short story of mine, "Refuge," for Subterranean Magazine's Big Honkin' SF Cliche Issue. Now, you may remember that I had a touch of trouble getting the e-mail off. Well, turns out I ran into an editorial grace period (of which, I'm assured, I was not the only beneficiary). The inestimable Mr. Scalzi liked the story enough, and the rest is history. Or soon to be history, anyway, insofar as my tale will be committed to printed matter and preserved for time immemorial, or some such.
Inside, there's lots of vowels and exclamation marks yearning to break free, but I'll spare you for now.
But yeah, this is my first sale, at pro rates and everything, and I couldn't be more excited. :)
