A Short One

I bought a mortar round the other day. 61mm, probably, looks like it might have been fired, but maybe not. The short version of the story is this: Some kids came up, as usual, asking if I wanted to buy whisky, hashish, fiki fiki... or an RPG. And so I said, "Sure, bring me an RPG, and I'll give you some money." And, lo and behold, they come tromping back in about ten, fifteen minutes carrying aforementioned mortar round. "SHIT!!" I yell, "PUT THAT DOWN!!!" And they drop it, and ask for money, and my afternoon soon devolves into a series of radio conversations and a visit by the shift NCOIC. All in all, fairly amusing.

I don't think they're going to let me keep the mortar round, though.

Oh, and we've been actived 7 months now. We have less than three more to go, all told. Yippee! :)
