Reliable output is getting a bit difficult.

This weekend, of course, I had an excuse, traveling up to D-town to see the fam and celebrate Dad's birthday. dsudis showed, which is always a pleasure, and Brother #1's girlfriend came along as well, the interactions providing much humor as already demonstrated in my dear sister's LJ.

But it did nothing for my writing, or my school work either, for that matter. So, I got a bit done Friday before the wife and I left, a little more done Sunday night after we got home, a little more still Monday between work and class, and some more last night sitting at the computer. So...

Words: 1699 since last update, seven whole days ago.

Not great for my average.

Working out is going about as well, unfortunately. I need to hit the bike today after work, as I noticed a slight jump in my weight. Probably something to do with all that Mom cooking over the weekend and spending a bunch of time sitting around, rather than my usual regimen of humping my ass all over campus.

Still, got to the gym last night for a Chest, Shoulders, Back workout. Hopefully gym attendance will get a little more regular as I've adjusted my schedule to fit it in better.

So here at work, I have 1,097 songs loaded into a single WinAmp playlist that I play on shuffle, listening through a pair of beat up old headphones (especially when there's a meeting going on in the next cubicle, as is the case at the moment).

I'm surprised how often it shuffles in really great serieses of songs. Maybe it's because I like all the music in there, but it's pretty neat, all the same.

And don't worry Mr. RIAA, I've paid for most of those 1,097, and I'm not sharing them with anyone.

Today at worked turned out to be a nice, relatively stress-free time, as a result of finishing the two projects that were the most time-constrained. Next week I'll have some of that sort of thing to do again, but for today it meant I got to do some serious writing.

Words: 909

Amid all the other junk that goes on around here. Nice count, brings the chapter up to 3590, which is precisely where I wanted it at this point in the chapter structure, giving me just the room I was looking for to round it out and move on to 13.

All in all, looking good.
