Meta Meme-age

Mmkay. I think I'm tired of the "What fill-in-the-blank are you?" and "How much of this particular thingy are you?" memes. Not even that interested in looking at other people's results any more, even. Just one of thoes things, at least. I'm still here posting, though. That's something. We'll see if I can keep it up while I'm gone. That'll certainly be a test.

Put together all my gear tonight. Got everything cleaned out of the gear closet, pretty much. Just some odds and ends left over. Got a decent list of stuff that I've got to buy yet. Most of it is small stuff, like insect repellant and bike shorts and stuff like that. I want some Kevlar slice/cut-resistant gloves, and knee and elbow pads. Those sorts of things can make the difference, sometimes. Got a sturdy watch, a sling and some nametapes on their way. And I know, I'll get there and think of ten other things that I wished I'd brought. Oh well. Can't fit it all.

This month is going to be the longest ever, and shortest ever.

That's entirely possible. Passing quizzes around mailing lists really had been a non-starter for them. This LiveJournal thing, on the other hand... Anybody who even thinks they have a sense of humor can create one, and thousands will plaster the results all over their journals.

Well, give them credit: a successful quiz also requires an amusing pastable graphic for each result. If the code makes everybody's friends page go squiggy, so much the better.
