Back in the Saddle
Sep. 4th, 2003 01:00 am9/2:
Word count: 380
(Plus two whole pages of notes entered into the little black notebook.)
9/3:
Word count: 558
(Another half page of notes entered.)
Chapters: 11
Cumulative Word Count: ~41,000
Weight: 228
Days a week in the gym: 4
Miles run per day: 1.5
Pounds to go: 20
Months to go: 5
I've started writing new stuff exclusively in a notebook at the kitchen table after the hour of 9pm. I'm finding myself too easily distracted by recreational activities when I sit at the computer, so I figured I needed to change the pace a little. What I'd love, is to get a laptop, so I can type, since my hand gets tired way too easily when I try to write longhand, since I tend to write fast. But the budget currently doesn't allow for any sort of luxuries (like a trip to WorldCon! *sniff*), so it looks like it's going to be me and the notebook for a while. Which is fine, that's how I got started.
Drill is Friday, and I'm not dreading it in the least, amazingly enough. I'm sure part of that has to do with a weekend being such a small sacrifice in comparison to the two weeks earlier this summer. I think it's usually been like that.
More tomorrow, I hope.
