ConClave 33
Oct. 8th, 2008 06:54 pmOne, was Conclave 33 where I had a very good time as a program participant (and oh, how I participated!) I’m actually a little bummed, because I was nowhere near as prepared for it as I wanted to be, in no small part because of the stress and weirdness I’ve been dealing with lately. But I struggled my way through, had a lot of fun with my friends, and excellent all around human being Steve Buchheit agreed to terms on the sale of his first short story, which is so very, very awesome.
Also, we managed a quorum of retreat participants (unless that’s two-thirds and not the simple majority I think it is), but all that resulted in was parting out roles in the Fellowship of the Retreat. Also, I think I offered to make omelets-to-order one morning. Oh, and we did scope out the hotel in general for Penguicon 7.0, which will be held there, and seems to be a very suitable venue. Very nice, if under the approach for one of Detroit Metro Airport’s main runways.
Also also, I think the ‘3′ button on my laptop keyboard is going away. Either that, or there’s something lodged under it making it necessary to hammer on it to get a response. But that has nothing to do with the con…
… or does it??
