[livejournal.com profile] saoba posts a moving story about having been poor. I encourage you all to read it. Thank God I've never been quite that far down the ladder, but I've been able to see it from where I stood. Serves as an outstanding reminder, for us Christians perhaps especially, of what it really means to be Christian.

And speaking of Christians, DailyKos has an interesting history lesson on the origins of the Rapture, and Scirptural relevance. Lots of Scriptural analysis included, just to let you know in case that kind of thing turns you off.

Then tonight we had an amusing Tony incident: After putting him to bed at 9 (a full hour before he's usually ready for bed, but the kid was tired tonight), the wife and I were talking in our room, right next to his. When things got a little too loud, we heard repeated banging on the adjoining wall, followed by a little baby babbling.

When we switched to whispers, the banging and the babbling stopped.

"I think he was telling us to be quiet..."
