Work. Man.
Jan. 2nd, 2006 05:37 pmIt's going on 6pm, and I'm in Brighton (MI), sitting in my hotel room, waiting to start work.
This is what sucks, to some degree, of selling computer hardware and software to dentists. When a mega-practice gets it in their head to buy THIRTY FOUR computers, plus the associated peripheral hardware, software, monitor mounts for treatment rooms, wiring to tie it all together, and everything... it's not like you can barge in on the beginning of their workday to start installing. Especially when part of tying everything together is driving a couple holes, per room, into the six-inch-thick concrete floor. For some reason, the sound of a hammer drill boring holes in concrete is a bit unsettling to dental patients...
And it looks like I'll be working tonight and tomorrow night, which means I probably won't be going home tomorrow (especially since I would have to head back here long before my wife got home from work, making the trip home pretty pointless).
Anyone want to get together for lunch tomorrow?
In baby news, my son cut his first tooth late last week. So much for letting him gnaw on our fingers...
