A Military Primer -- Standards, Pt. 2

After much wrangling with the topic, I've decided to combine two into one, and so we get...

At any rate, that should about cover it. There are tons of standards in the military, some of which I could simply reproduce, but the point there would be missed. The demonstrated concept is that the military is replete with standards, and each of them have some kind of serious rationale, even though it may not be totally apparent.

So now we're going to move on to Culture, which I think is going to be terribly interesting and could spark some decent discussion in the comments. Or so I hope.
