Mmhmm. Yep.
May. 4th, 2004 08:54 pmSo, the Wings lost. Yuck. Not happy times around here, especially with all the Michigan National Guardsmen around. On the other hand, the Pistons are winning and the Tigers are... winning as much as losing, at least. That's something. Better than expected, and that makes me happy. So... bright sides, silver linings, all that good junk.
Otherwise, I'm bored out of my mind. We've had something resembling excitement in that a Kellog, Brown and Root electrician has been agonizing over the mess that was made of the electricity in our berthing area... apparently a whole bunch of air conditioners got fried. Not mine, happily, but some folks are sweatin'. And aside from my semi-secret duty, I've got a new little responsibility, called waking up at 0430 to go get breakfast for the guys on duty then. The nice thing is that I'm assured of a wake-up call and getting in to the phone center early enough to call
tappu, before she goes to bed. Unfortunately that means I should be heading to bed within the next half hour.
Really, I'm not that bored. I'm reading about 3/4 of a book per day, and getting some writing done, and wasting a lot of time on-line. What I really need to be doing is managing my time a little better still to get even more stuff done. Like working out. Oh, haven't done that in forever... But whatever habits and skills I aquire now, hopefully will translate into civilian life... and that'll make the transition that much easier.
Hopefully. :)
