Welcome to my friends list, [livejournal.com profile] maeuschen and [livejournal.com profile] misssavie, two good, longtime friends, and [livejournal.com profile] clackablog which, apparently, is an entire county in Oregon. Didn't know I knew an entire county in Oregon...

Net was down most of yesterday and, for a wonder, it turned out to be something Stateside causing the problem. Amazing. I'm sure the ham-handed "techs" would have broken something seriously on this end by now. ;)

Watched "Spider-Man" and "Hellboy" yesterday. Spidey was, as always, Spidey and as terrific a movie as Sam Raimi's ever done (and Sam's done some terrific movies; "For the Love of the Game" still gives me goosebumps). Hellboy was interesting. Being a crappy bootleg made it a bit of an effort to watch, but it wasn't nearly so bad looking as that copy of "Spartan" I had. The story itself was interesting, replete with tht staple of comic book villainy, Nazis.

I've been writing, as well. Gotten about five or six hand-written pages out in the past two days, plus a fair bit of outlining for the current project. Might be asking [livejournal.com profile] tappu to forward me some old files to work on once [livejournal.com profile] fattred1's brother sends that copy of Office 2003. Also been reading quite a bit, finished The Vor Game by Lois McMaster Bujold in what amounted to one sitting. I try, every so often, to update the list of books I've read, but my connection enjoys crashing in the middle of the updates. Silliness.

Also took some time to put LiteStep on [livejournal.com profile] fattred1's computer, under my own user. Almost feels like home, with Opera working as well. Now I just need Trillian and Word and I'll barely know I'm in Iraq. ;)

Oh yeah, except for that sleeping alone thing. Damn that.
