Overheard

Two great things yesterday, but today I can't remember them. I knew I should have written them down. Needless to say, the English language is being heavily abused in my hearing.

Oh oh, a new one, not one of the ones that I've forgotten, but a new one last night:

"... and any equipment or materials designed as critical to national security by the commanding officer.."

But that's not nearly as funny, just fresh on the mind. Oh, and now, a month in, someone has finally decided that they need to have accountability for the Marines who are doing the language program. It ends tomorrow, but hey. I'll probably be spending a lot of time on watch this weekend, unless Capt. F comes through and gets us hooked up with 72 hour liberty this weekend.

Otherwise, no cool news to pass. We'll probably be gone within two weeks, at which time I'll be hard to reach. Just before we do leave, I'll be posting our FPO address and a care package wishlist (aside from books, thank you [livejournal.com profile] meerkat1 :) ) to a friend-locked entry here. Hopefully once we get settled "in country" I'll have the kind of access [livejournal.com profile] unclewillie seems to get, and I'll be back on all the time.

(Oh, and to [livejournal.com profile] unclewillie: I locked on that stuff. Thanks for the heads-up.)

Peace.
