Active Duty, Day 3
Jan. 7th, 2004 08:16 pmOh man. So, not an hour after reporting for active duty, I was told that I had been volunteered to be "platoon linguist." I'd be getting some Arabic instruction in order to be a translator/interpreter for the company/platoon. Well, now that's morphed into a four week course, training separate from the company.
This could get interesting, to say the least.
I will be leaving earlier than the rest of the unit, that much seems to be certain.
I love the Marine Corps.
